STATEMENT: Small Business Group Applauds Bipartisan Economic Achievements After Vice President’s Visit to Chicago 

Statement by Small Business for America’s Future Network member Suzanne Stantley, Founder and Principal of BE Group Inc. a firm focused on building operational capacity for diverse and women owned firms in Chicago, on benefits of the bipartisan Infrastructure Law. She attended today’s event with Vice President Kamala Harris. 

Jan. 4, 2023–We applaud Vice President Kamala Harris’ announcement today of a $144 million dollar grant through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to repair several deteriorating bridges in Chicago.

Small businesses and communities can’t thrive without functional infrastructure, and this investment on the South Side of Chicago will help our economy and improve safety on the bridges. 

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is proof of the success that can happen when all political parties put their differences aside and focus on what is best for the people they serve. It will help repair our economy continuing to rebound from the pandemic while helping boost the fortunes of small businesses.

As we start a new legislative session, it’s our hope lawmakers will see the benefits of working together to strengthen our economy rather than focusing on political grievances.
