Small business group co-chair awarded Nevada’s 2023 Statewide Entrepreneurial Spirit Award

The Nevada District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration has named Shaundell Newsome its 2023 Statewide Entrepreneurial Spirit Awardee of the Year. Newsome is the Visionary & Founder of SumNu Marketing and Small Business for America’s Future Co-chair.

Las Vegas, NV, May 3, 2023 – During National Small Business Week, the Nevada District office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has selected Small Business for America’s Future Co-Chair and Visionary & Founder of SumNu Marketing in Las Vegas, Shaundell Newsome for the Statewide Entrepreneurial Spirit Award of the Year. 

Awarded for his entrepreneurial spirit and advocacy, the SBA said Newsome exemplifies the best of what it means to be an entrepreneur in America. He is Former Chairman of the Las Vegas Urban Chamber of Commerce, Co-chair of Small Business for America's Future, and instructor for the SBA Boots to Business program and Nevada SBDC NxLevel for Entrepreneurs. He will be recognized at the Nevada Small Business Administration Awards Luncheon today in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Working with him has been an inspiring experience as his dedication to advocacy is unmatched—from 4:30 am radio interviews to advocating for small business policy in Washington, D.C. – he is a tireless advocate,” said Rhett Buttle, advisor for Small Business for America’s Future. “I have worked with Shaundell for years to advocate for policies that promote entrepreneurship and help small businesses thrive. It’s hard to think of someone more deserving of this award or someone who better embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of our country.”
