Small Business for America’s Future Network Councilmember Joe Reddix, president and CEO of The Reddix Group, joined a Commerce Deputy Secretary and representatives from Google, Microsoft, Five Guys among others for a roundtable discussion of how to protect U.S. businesses against foreign cyberattacks

Washington, D.C., Oct. 28, 2022–Small Business for America’s Future Network Councilmember Joe Reddix, president and CEO of The Reddix Group, joined Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves and representatives from Google, Microsoft, Five Guys Enterprises among others to provide the small business perspective during a roundtable discussion of best practices to strengthen and safeguard U.S. businesses against foreign cyberattack.

The roundtable gathered cybersecurity leaders in the Biden-Harris Administration with private sector representatives to highlight how the Commerce Department, through the National Institute of Standards and Technology, plays a role in providing cybersecurity resources to businesses. Reddix answered questions about what small businesses wanted to see from the government on this issue.

“It was heartening to hear how seriously the Department of Commerce and the administration are taking these issues and asking those of us on the ground how they can best help,” said Reddix, whose Maryland-based company specializes in solving complex business problems through the integration of business and technical expertise. “Small business owners need to take these threats seriously but are also incredibly busy people. Solutions need to be easy to understand, easy to use and targeted at their specific needs.”
