Small business group: Main Street Celebrates the Signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

Washington, D.C., Nov. 15, 2021—President Biden’s signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill is a historic investment in our economy that will greatly help America’s small business community. The law demonstrates a strong commitment to helping the small business community at a time when federal support is as important as ever. As the economic effects of the pandemic linger, this legislation is a key component of our ongoing recovery. 

Now, it is essential that Congress double down on their commitment to small business owners by quickly passing the Build Back Better Act. 

Small business owners know that our recovery hinges on the country’s ability to take smart action to bolster the economy. That’s why in Small Business for America’s Future’s most recent national survey of over 1,000 small business owners there was overwhelming support of the legislation. Eighty-one percent voiced support for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and 66% said the legislation will help small businesses.

The same small business survey found that 74% of small business owners believe economic investments like the infrastructure bill are important amid the lingering COVID-19 pandemic and expiration of previous relief programs like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Infrastructure investments will allow small businesses to remain competitive and create job growth that will benefit Main Street’s across the country.



Small business owners are the backbone of the nation's economy--driving economic growth and job creation. While the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal is a powerful beginning, Congress now must act swiftly to finish the job and deliver the Build Back Better Act to the President’s desk.
